TLAC Audition Philosophy
All TLAC auditions are truly OPEN, meaning no one
has been pre-cast in any role.  All roles are available.
It doesn’t matter if you’re completely new to us,
new to the stage, someone we know very well,
or you’ve taken a class or camp.
Everyone has the same chance to be in a show
when they walk in to try out.
Things all directors look for:
Does this person have the skills needed for a role?
Do they have the age/appearance for a role?
Do they work well with others on stage?
Do they follow the directions?
Do they have conflicts with rehearsals or performances?
Casting a show is like putting together a wonderful puzzle.
You might be a terrific puzzle piece
but not for the puzzle we’re putting together at this time.
Or you may be just the exact piece we need!
Auditions are the only way to find out.
We thank you for sharing your time and talent with us and
as they say in the theater….Break a leg!
Feel free to go to our Downloads page to print out an Audition Form to fill out and bring with you on your Audition day!

General Things to remember about Musical auditions:
You must sing by yourself at auditions if it is for a Musical – no duets with a friend. You must bring sheet music or cd accompaniment.  Sing any song you know well that shows off your voice.  It does NOT have to be from the show.
If you find you can’t try out, you must call 678-494-4251
and cancel to allow another person that time slot.
You need to check the dates and times of rehearsals and shows on the website before auditioning and note any conflicts on your Audition Form.
You need to print out an Audition Form from the website Downloads page and have it filled out and ready to hand in 15 minutes prior to your scheduled time.  You will be there for the entire one hour slot you have been assigned.
You don’t need a headshot, we will take a digital photo when you arrive.
